Lloyd and Dougie

‘Welcome to our world ladies and gentlemen, the land of Off The Cuff.

Founded by survivors of a forgotten civilisation, landing at Brighton...oooh, must be years ago now. We have risen to prominence as Improvisers though we are actors and comedy writers by trade. We have performed regularly in The Hothouse, The Hobgoblin, The JoogleBerry Playhouse, The Mint café/bar, The Hare and Hounds and Komedia. We have also had massive festival shows including the 2006 + 2007 Brighton Fringe Festivals, where we received a highly favourable review from Three Weeks.

With a regular shows every fortnight we have established ourselves as one of Brighton's premier comedy troups and expanding the company through weekly open workshops.

We began by performing shortform improv (which is short disconnected games, in the style of Whose Line...) but evolved during the year to incorporate long form improv, or longprov as I like to call it ;-) Longprov works around a structure, using improv games and exercises as scenes from an ongoing story, they might be used for plot development or to establish characters.

We have continuously experimented with Off The Cuff, exploring avenues such as O.T.C. Bingo and our own style of Long-Form Improv. Both proved to be successful although the plan is to develop our comedy troupe further through writing and other media as we establish ourselves in Brighton, incorporating many different aspects of improvised comedy, which is "the greatest gift man can give" Adios...
